‘Trigger Happy TV’ Creator Dom Joly Partners With Grandaddy For Vignettes, Series Being Rebooted

Fans of the weird and wonderful world of the early 2000s stand up and rejoice. Hidden camera masterpiece Trigger Happy TV is returning to television according to star Dom Joly on Twitter.

The better news? He’s getting some independent help in the publicity department.

Indie rock veterans Grandaddy are coming in hot off their newest album Last Place from 30th Century Records and Columbia Records (the group’s first studio album in 11 years,) but decided to bring some of the best of Trigger Happy TV back into the public eye. In this case, it was a classic sketch of a clown with a pie given a bit of a twist. See for yourself in this behind the scenes feature that captures Joly’s comedy to a T, all set over the soulful songs of Grandaddy.

And they say comedy is dead. Entertaining and informative. Maybe the early 2000s really are coming back around. I recommend getting your rugby shirts ready just in case. Stay tuned with mxdwn Television for more information about Trigger Happy TV. If Grandaddy is more your speed, be sure to keep your eyes and ears on mxdwn Music as well.
