Timothée Chalamet Turns Up the Smoke in Studio 8H for the Newest ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo

Timothée Chalamet’s (Call Me By Your Name, Little Women) Saturday Night Live hosting adventures have finally begun. In the latest promo for his hosting gig on November 11,  the second-time host revisits studio 8H in a very dreamy and Wonka-like fashion. But as the promo continues, the dreamscape turns slightly panic-inducing.

As the promo begins, Chalamet walks into the studio admiring all the iconic bits and pieces that the studio has catered all around. He notes the clock, the cue cards, and the weekend update desk where “Che and that other guy sits.” and takes it all in. Upon doing this, SNL cast members Mikey Day (Is It Cake?) and Sarah Sherman (You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah) notice that he is wandering around and question why he is there. Sherman corrects Day and makes sure that he is aware that Chalamet is hosting. But then, it is shown that Day isn’t questioning why he is there, but he is concerned for the young actor’s safety as the hazy fog is something quite dangerous! But never fear, as the cast members frantically alert Chalamet, he looks up to them and reassures the two that he will be fine.

Chalamet hosted the late-night sketch show in December 2020 with musical guest Bruce Springsteen (“Born to Run,” “Dancing in the Dark”). His episode was met with high praise and high view counts as he stuck by the side of the other youngin on SNL, Pete Davidson (The King Of Staten Island). This time around, Chalamet will be buddied up with the musical guest boygenius (the record), the indie-rock supergroup that consists of the singer-songwriters Phoebe Bridgers (“Not Strong Enough”), Julien Baker (“Appointments”), and Lucy Dacus (“Night Shift”) and maybe there will be a return of his buddy Davidson. This season has been littered with cameos in almost every episode, so it is not very unreasonable for viewers to assume that there is a strong possibility.
