Three Netflix TV Projects In The Works Under Edgar Wright’s New Production Company

A new production company called Complete Fiction is in the process of being launched with collaborators Edgar Wright (Baby Driver), Nira Park (Him and Her), Joe Cornish (Ant-Man) and Rachael Prior (Baby Driver) backing it. According to Hollywood Reporter, the production company already has three upcoming TV projects underway at Netflix.

The series’ stretch across all genres. The company plans to first bring the supernatural action-adventure series Lockwood & Co, based on Jonathon Stroud’s critically acclaimed novels, to the small screen. Tade Thompson inspired sci-fi horror trilogy The Murders of Molly Southbourne and S.A. Chakraborty inspired historical fantasy series The City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy) are also in the development stage.

Cornish took to social media to share the collaborative efforts of the team. Here are the faces behind the production:

Complete Fiction, based in London and LA and works across both film and television, is the product of a 20 year long relationship between these partners. Park has been produced all of Wright’s previous projects, dating all the way back to his 1999 television comedy Spaced. She has also produced some of Cornish’s work, namely his 2011 debut Attack the Block and the 2019 fantasy adventure film The Kid Who Would be King.

While the company produces films too, their primary objective first is to manage the three television series for Netflix. As reported by Deadline, Park furthers, “we are incredibly excited about this expansion into television and can’t wait to put our distinctive stamp on longer-form storytelling. We feel very lucky to have each other, and this new company is an expression of our ambitions for the next phase of our careers, and a desire to do that together as a working family.”
