‘The X-Files’ Goes Ghouli!

Mulder may enjoy squatching in his spare time, but he misses the good old days of scary movies. The write-up for this week’s The X-Files reads like something out of Frankenstein or the Werewolf movie, but the show has taken things one step further.

James Wong wrote and directed “Ghouli” covering the story of two young girls who believe the other is a monster in disguise. In a twist of clever marketing, Fox has launch an accompanying website (https://ghouli.net/) featured in the episode available to fans now. Visitors can read the history, find out about sightings and even submit their own ghouli encounter.

The preview features Mulder and Scully checking out the site while “Bob” waits for his double shot cappuccino with extra foam. Fox also laments about the lack of pathos in today’s world of monster lore.

According to Den of Geek, “Ghouli” will also drop some important clues surrounding Scully’s son, William. Don’t miss this week’s episode of The X-Files, Wednesday at 8:00 EST on Fox.
