‘The Walking Dead’ Reveals Negan’s Victim

“I’m just getting started,” Negan said at one moment of Sunday’s premiere of The Walking Dead. Fans of The Walking Dead have been waiting since April to find out who Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) victim would be and in the season seven premiere, they found out who Negan killed at the end of the season.

Eeny, meeny, miney, mo. The episode that aired on Sunday revealed that Negan killed Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz). This is different from the comics, as Negan killed Glenn (Steven Yeun) in the original comic book series.

But, Negan struck again, killing Glenn moments later, living up to his promise, and staying true to the comic.

Before the premiere, Time predicted who would be the one to die, with Abe at a 10 percent chance and Glenn at a 30 percent chance.

The Walking Dead made fans wait nearly 20 minutes before revealing who died, sending fans to Twitter to complain about the way that they were going to have to wait for the show to end before they revealed who had died. The show also psyched out viewers as Rick (Andrew Lincoln) had flashbacks where he imagined different people being killed by Negan.

Twitter even got in on the action by giving the show a special emoji. Whenever users tweeted #TheWalkingDead, a baseball bat would appear. The baseball bat symbolized Lucille, the name Negan gave his baseball that killed Abe and Glenn.

Since the show started in 2010, it’s become an incredibly popular cable show, eventually becoming the number one cable show perennially.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC.
