‘The Walking Dead’ Beats Olympic Coverage in Key Demos Again

AMC’s The Walking Dead beat NBC’s Olympic coverage a second time in key demographics.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the second episode of The Walking Dead’s midseason run pulled in an average of 8.7 million viewers for key demographics for adults 18-49. While it was down from the midseason premiere of 10.4 million, it was still enough to beat out NBC’s Sochi coverage.

The series had 13.3 million viewers at the 9 p.m. time slot and The Winter Games surpassed them with an average of 21.3 million viewers.

The Walking Dead did not just go against the Olympics; this time they also faced the NBA All-Star Game. The Talking Dead pulled in an average of 4.8 million viewers and 3.1 million in the key demographic for adults 18.49.
