The Mindy Project is coming back, just in a different way.
After Fox cancelled the comedy starring Mindy Kaling, it was picked up by Hulu for its fourth season. The new season has a brand new trailer which can be seen below.
The trailer picks off right where season three left off. It shows Danny (Chris Messina) going off to find Mindy’s parents in India. The trailer also gives a brief look at Mindy as a mother and features all of the main characters getting into trouble romantically and professionally.
Guest star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is seen interacting with Mindy. We reported on here that his role is going to be as romantic interest for Mindy in an alternative world. Also joining this season is guest star Freida Pinto. She is also coming on for a part of the alternative world episode that we reported on here.
This season will stick to what made fans love the show in the first place but being on Hulu has allowed Kaling and the writers more creative freedom, according to Adweek.
Hulu picked up 26 episodes of the series that is set to premiere on September 15.
