The U.S. network The CW announced its new season with a regular schedule will begin in January 2021, according to Entertainment Weekly. This comes with the exception of scripted series and programming unique to The CW, including the last seven episodes of Supernatural, which are coming this fall. The CW’s other original fan-favorite shows are delayed to January, including all of Arrowverse, Riverdale, Nancy Drew and more.

The final episodes of Supernatural, a second season of Two Sentence Horror Stories, scripted additions of The Outpost, Pandora as well as new shows Tell Me a Story, Swamp Thing, Coroner and Dead Pixels all may make the cut for the fourth quarter schedule for The CW.
Most of Supernatural is in post-production as well as The Outpost and Pandora, but each show was still affected by pandemic-related production issues. With the exception of a few episodes, each show has a majority of respective season completed. The goal is to shoot during the summer so everything can air for the fall schedule. The CW intends on ending the long-running drama series Supernatural properly so that the cast and fans alike can get well-deserved closure. Afterwards, Supernatural‘s Jared Padalecki is shooting for another show called Walker, a reboot of the action series Walker, Texas Ranger.
Walker accompanies a handful of other shows set to air in January 2021. The CW’s January schedule looks as follows:

The anticipated schedule has a few changes that may surprise regular viewers, with two new series and shows with different lineups than before.
The network’s new season scheduling features the new series Superman & Lois, which airs after DC Comics based The Flash. Again, the new series Walker stars Jared Padalecki and hits the network on Thursday’s, taking the place of Padalecki’s previous show Supernatural.
The longstanding Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Whose Line Is It Anyway? are paired together to be airing on Fridays. The Friday lineup replaces previous seasons’ Friday dramas Dynasty and Charmed. Charmed will be airing on Sunday nights instead, replacing Supergirl for this season.
