ABC has released the first teaser for the new drama series The Company You Keep, which reveals a con-man, finding himself falling for a CIA agent, via TVLine. The series follows con-man Charlie, played by Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes, This Is Us), and CIA agent Emma, played by Catherine Haena Kim (Boyfriends of Christmas Past, FBI), as they find themselves romantically entangled while unknowingly on collision course professionally as Charlie ramps up the “family business” and Emma closes in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie’s family debts in-hand, via TVLine.
As seen in the teaser, during Charlie and Emma’s meet-cute the two lie about their professions, Charlie pretending he is a yoga instructor and Emma pretending she is a pageant queen turned rocket scientist. The two seemingly get drunk and reveal the truth, but neither realizes.
Alongside Ventimiglia and Haena Kim, the cast includes Bridget Regan (Jane the Virgin, Paradise Lost), William Fichtner (Crash, Drive Angry), Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead, Prison Break), James Saito (Always Be My Maybe, Modern Love), Felisha Terrell (Shooter, The Social Network), Shaylee Mansfield (13 Minutes, Noelle), Freda Foh Shen (Mulan, Dude, Where’s My Car?), Tim Chiou (SEAL Team, Space Force), Jaquita Ta’le (Castle, Shameless), Polly Draper (The Naked Brothers Band, Stella’s Last Weekend), and Efka Kvaraciejus (Logan, The Dark Knight Rises).
The Company You Keep will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 10/9c on ABC, and will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
