Keeping secrets proves deadly in the first trailer for the upcoming Amazon Prime original series Tell Me Your Secrets. Starring Amy Brenneman (The Leftovers) and Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), a dark web of lies is spun in this dark thriller series about two women desperate to find the truth, via Entertainment Weekly.
Tell Me Your Secrets follows Mary, a distraught mother portrayed by Brenneman whose daughter disappeared seven years ago. Determined to find her, she believes the key lies with Emily, a dangerous woman played by Rabe who is now in the Witness Protection Program. Desperate for help, Mary hires John, a criminal on a path to redemption played by Hamish Linklater (Legion). The three then descend into a rabbit hole of deceit and lies.
Brenneman shared the official poster for the upcoming series on Twitter Wednesday, coinciding with the trailer’s release. A rain splattered photograph featuring Brenneman and Rabe with neon lettering and dark shadows, it’s reminiscent of the noir film genre. In another Tweet on Wednesday, Brenneman also promoted the trailer, writing: “The wait is over! I’m so excited to finally share the full trailer for my newest project with you all. #TellMeYourSecrets is the perfect mix of mysterious, addictive, and heartbreaking and I can’t wait for you all to see it. Watch it February 19th – only on @PrimeVideo.”

The first trailer released for Tell Me Your Secrets pulses with danger and suspicion as the three central characters are all hiding something. Accompanied by the song “Inside” by Chris Avantgarde and Red Rosamond, it depicts a cat and mouse chase as Mary hunts Emily. The series also features a large ensemble cast including Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace), Stella Baker (Candace), Elliot Fletcher (Shameless), Xavier Samuel (Seven Types of Ambiguity), and Ashley Madekwe (Salem) among many others.
Harriet Warner (Midwife) is the writer and creator of the series. It’s executive produced by three veterans of the TV drama-thriller, including Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, The Undoing), Casey Haver (Queen America), and and John Polson (The Wilds, Elementary).
Originally set to air on TNT, the production was complete and all episodes had been shot when the network decided not to proceed with the series in 2018. It eventually found a home at Amazon Prime, and the ten episode first season will premiere on the streaming service February 19.
