Super Bowl Preview of ‘Krypton’ Released Early

Followers of the new SyFy show Krypton got an early preview of the TV spot anticipated to be premiered during the Super Bowl. Sadly, it is simply an abbreviated version of the trailer released a few days earlier.

The trailer shows Superman’s grandfather, Seyg-El, receiving the famed cape while receiving an ominous warning that he needs to save his world and his legacy. This is followed by some ships, fighting, blasters and finally the famous “S” symbol we all know and love.

Krypton is rising from the ashes as one of the more highly anticipated shows debuting this season. The show is separate from the CW’s Arrowsense but will feature hints and players from the DC Universe including Doomsday and Adam Strange. The series will be set in the city of Kandor and feature the prison of Fort Rozz. The former military base was part of the comic Krypton Chronicles books and also shown in Supergirl.

Tune in to Krypton when it debuts March 21 on SyFy.
