[SPOILERS] Netflix Announces Season 3 Release Date Of ‘My Life With The Walter Boys’

Deadline has reported that Netflix has set an official release date of August 6, 2026, for the upcoming 10-episode third season of its coming-of-age television series, My Life with the Walter Boys. The series was renewed for its third season ahead of its second season premiere in 2026, along with similar early renewal for a fourth season in 2027.

Based on the original published work and Wattpad novel of the same name by Ali Novak, My Life with the Walter Boys takes place in the fictional town of Silver Falls, Colorado – Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez; On My Block, Adam Ruins Everything), recently orphaned 15-year-old Manhattanite, struggles to adjust to a new environment as she is taken in by her mother’s longtime best friend and her 10-person family. While she is more used to quiet, order, and studying her days away with qualms of attending Princeton, Jackie slowly begins the journey to healing from her grief and gets accustomed to living in Colorado with the Walters. Along the way, she grows close to two of the Walter boys; the mysterious and troubled Cole (Noah LaLonde; Criminal Minds: Evolution, Deer Camp ‘86), and his polar opposite younger brother, the reliable and kindhearted bookish Alex (Ashby Gentry; Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Mooch).

[POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD]

Season one followed the events of the book, save for Jackie’s abrupt departure from Silver Falls – after Alex’s confession of love and Cole’s kiss – to a summer back in New York with only a short “I’m sorry” note. With her return in season two, audiences see the series trio’s climactic confession moment come the finale, only to be left on a cliffhanger once more when it seems something terrible has happened to the boys’ father, George (Marc Blucas; Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Necessary Roughness).

From Deadline, the third season’s logline reads:

“The path of true love never runs smooth, especially in Silver Falls. The last time we saw the Walters, Jackie (Rodriguez) and Cole (LaLonde) finally confessed their love for each other, only for Jackie’s boyfriend – and Cole’s brother – Alex (Gentry) to overhear, but their conversation was interrupted when Walter Patriarch George (Blucas) was rushed to the hospital.”

For this third season, it seems that the boys will each find their own avenues for (somewhat) healthy and adrenaline-driven competition, as the conversation about love takes a backseat for the time being.

Continued, from Deadline:

“Season [three] sees the Walters realize what’s important in the fallout from this – and discover that it’s okay to go after what you want. With their love lives still hanging in the balance, Alex turns to his new rodeo riding team, and Cole gets back in the driver’s seat of his life, literally, when a race car driver sees potential in him. Meanwhile, Jackie pours her heart into developing the town’s community space. But when a childhood friend arrives from New York, the life she left behind proves harder to forget than she expected.”

Additional cast added for the third season are sure to shake things up, reports Deadline, as the returning ensemble adds Naveen Paddock (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Anything’s Possible) and Erin Karpluk (Being Erica, Holly Hobbie) with Chad Rook (War for the Planet of the Apes, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City). Paddock will play a charming and eye-catching intern for Jackie’s Uncle Richard, while Karpluk portrays the mother of Walter cousins Isaac and Lee Garcia – Hannah Walter, nomadic sister of George, previously left her family when the children were young, which led to the two becoming part of the Walters in Silver Falls. Rook is Mac, a drag racer who sees potential in Cole for a life behind the wheel.

Via Netflix’s Tudum, a brief explanation of the characters:

Eliot, played by Paddock – “Handsome and charming with an air of New York sophistication, Eliot is Uncle Richard’s new intern. His arrival in Silver Falls puts Jackie in a tug-of-war between her old life and her new one.”

Hannah, played by Karpluk – “George’s nomadic sister and mother of Isaac and Lee, Hannah is free-spirited or irresponsible as hell (take your pick). She left her sons to live with the Walters and then split for reasons unknown; when she shows up at the front door a thousand days later, she has a lot of bridges to rebuild.”

Mac, played by Rook – “A cool drag racer who hires Cole to revamp the engine of one of his racing cars, Mag is impressed by Cole’s natural skills behind the wheel after seeing him take a spin on the track.”

Per Deadline, the series is executive produced by Becky Hartman Edwards (Pitch, Virgin River) and Ed Glauser (The Kissing Booth, Itch). As stated prior, the third season of My Life with the Walter Boys is set to release on August 6, 2026, on Netflix.
