*Spoiler* Reality Warped: ‘Constellation’ Season Two Hints On New Mind-Bending Storyline

The Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller, Constellation, follows Jo Ericsson, played by Noomi Rapace (Black Crab), an astronaut who returns from near-death experience to find her reality fractured. It made its debut on the streaming service on February 21, 2024. In an interview with Screenrant, Rapace details what direction a possible season two could go and what events and characters she would like to face.

According to Screenrant, the season one finale shows Jo being impacted by the dimensional shift and reveals her being pregnant. Additionally, the finale reveals her other self still aboard the ISS, setting the stage for a new storyline.

When asked if she’s thought about a possible second-season trajectory, Rapace told ScreenRant, “No, I haven’t. I would love to revisit and bring her back to life again. I think there’s way more to do, and also this baby that is growing inside of her that is a baby of two realities, sort of a space baby, and what kind of personality would that be? And then you have Jo B being up there in the ISS half dead, but also maybe looking down at Jo A living her life. That might stir up some emotions, so there’s a lot there to dig into if it comes to that.”

ScreenRant asked Rapace about possible characters she would want to interact with if the series was given a second season.

“[It would be interesting for Jo to interact with] Will and Jonathan, definitely.” Rapace said via ScreenRant. “I would love to meet Bud, I’d love to meet Henry more. I think he’s doing such a brilliant job, he’s just incredible. And this little weird baby, whatever that is! [Laughs]”

Constellation was created and written by Peter Harness (Doctor Who) based on a concept by Sean Jablonski (add works). Along with Rapace, the series stars Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad), James D’Arcy (Agent Carter), Henry David (Barren), Julian Looman (Emily In Paris), William Catlett (Abigail), and Barbara Sukowa (Europa).

All eight episodes of Constellation are available to stream on Apple TV+.
