Avatar: Seven Havens is about to air its season finale, and the series has released a clip from the last batch of Book One episodes. The preview was released on YouTube and features Nisha fighting for her life in the harsh lands outside of Ellora.
The short clip, titled “Don’t Mess With The Avatar” picks up where episode nine left off, with Nisha having revealed she’s the Avatar to the chancellor of Ellora and various envoys from around the Seven Havens. Captain Karthik sacrificed himself to save Nisha, who’s now on the run on the outskirts of the city. When the clip picks up, Nisha encounters a bird that chases her and her pet catmonkey Ruhi, attempting to eat the two of them. Luckily, Nisha manages to Airbend the bird out of the way.
Book One: Survival is sure to end on an explosive note, but not a conclusive one: series co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino (Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra) has already promised that the story of Avatar: Seven Havens will carry on through three more seasons. Much like Avatar: The Last Airbender, there will be one continuous story with grand finale, rather than several serialized adventures like The Legend of Korra.
There are several burning questions remaining for Book One to answer. While Avatar Korra has been blamed for the Cataclysm, and the twin Avatars Nisha and Pavi saw a vision that seemingly confirmed this, there’s still some doubt that she actually contributed to the apocalypse. The location of Nisha and Pavi’s parents is also up in the air (as is their very survival). There’s also the question of the other Havens: while last week’s episode introduced some new Havens, there are still two to be revealed (and one, Republic Forest, is mysteriously cut off from the others).
