Lost actress Sonya Walger will be joining Parenthood in season 5.
Walger, most recently seen as a regular in the late USA series Common Law, will be playing Meredith, a “sexy, confident fireball of an architect” working with Joel (Sam Jaeger), according to TVLine.
In the season 5 premiere, Joel invites Meredith over for dinner, where she makes Julia (Erika Chirstensen), who recently quit her job as a lawyer to be a stay-at-home-mom, feel “inferior and a little threatened.”
Huffington Post reports that Matt Lauria will officially return to his role as Amber’s (Mae Whitman) love interest Ryan York and is rumored to appear in about half the episodes of the new season. This follows the news that Ray Romano will also be returning as Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) love interest Hank in the show’s 5th season.
Parenthood returns for Season 5 on Thursday, September 26 at 10 PM EST.
