Showtime Takes On Jay Z Documentary

Using “Made in America” as a token of cultural relevancy, Showtime acquired the Jay Z documentary.

The film covers Jay Z’s two-day music festival in Philadelphia of the same name and is directed by Ron Howard and executive produced by the hip-hop titan. Howard and his producing partner Brian Grazer are bringing the documentary to television October 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The theme of “making it in American” is shown through interviews and performances of a varying artists from Passion Pit, Pearl Jam, Run D.M.C., Skrillex, Kayne West, and many others, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
