The upcoming ABC drama from Shonda Rhimes, The Catch, is re-casting two of its lead characters.
The Catch is about a woman named Alice (Mireille Enos) who is an elite fraud investigator. Alice, who usually catches the con artists, is conned herself by her fiancé, Kieran. Damon Dayoub was set to play Kieran and Bethany Joy Lenz was set to play Zoe, Kieran’s actual partner. Now the roles played by Damon Dayoub and Bethany Joy Lenz are being recast, according to Variety.
Lenz broke the news on WhoSay Monday night posting, “Thank you all for your support re:#TheCatch! Looks like they need a different type for ZOE, so I’ll be replaced, but please still watch! It really is SUCH a good show and I’m so proud of my friends’ work!”
Dayoub will instead be appearing in a long arc on the ABC Family series Stichers premiering in June, according to Variety.
