Serinda Swan and Ken Leung Join Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Series

The Inhumans family is starting to fill out.

Per Variety and Nerdist, Ken Leung and Serinda Swan have just joined Anson Mount in ABC and Marvel’s upcoming Inhumans series. Leung will play Karnak,  Black Bolt’s (Mount) cousin and strategist who has a special ability for finding the weakness in all things. Swan will have to handle the wild, powerful red hair of Medusa, queen of the Inhumans royal family.

Marvel’s Inhumans centers on the super-powered Inhumans royal family. The Inhumans first appeared in issue #45 of Fantastic Four, but due to rights issues it seems highly unlikely that any reference to this will be made. The first two episodes of the series will premiere in theaters in IMAX sometime in September before moving to ABC. The first season will be a short one for a network with eight episodes.

Leung was most recently a regular on NBC’s The Night Shift, though he will not be returning for the show’s upcoming fourth season after opting out of his contract. Swan already has a history with comic book roles having played the super-powered magician Zatanna on Smallville. Swan was most recently a regular on Graceland.

Marvel’s Inhumans, based on characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, is executive produced by Jim Chory, Jeph Loeb, Scott Buck and Roel Reine. Reine will also direct the first two episodes.
