‘Scandal’ Creator Declares Show Ending

According to TVGuide, Shonda Rhimes has declared she already knows how and when the show will end.

Apparently Shonda Rhimes has a clear path she wants her hit show to follow, and she seems to already know what Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and all the other characters’ fates will be.

“I feel like there is a finite amount of Scandal to be told,” said Rhime in an interview to NPR, “So I know what the end of Scandal will be, and I feel really good about that. And I can see where the end point is. And I don’t think I’m going to change that. … I know how long I think it will be.”

A few years ago, the forty-three year old guionist and producer claimed to know the ending of her other greatly successful show, Grey’s Anatomy, currently in its 10th season, but that plan has changed quite a few times since.

Rhimes admits that even though she knows what she wants now, anything can happen. “The political landscape on the outside, in the real world, will change — possibly before Scandal is over,” she said, “But we’ll see.”
