Ryan Murphy Signs On To New FX Series ‘Pose’

It’s becoming wildly apparent that Ryan Murphy and FX have a special relationship.

Deadline reports that after the success of his anthology series on the network (American Horror Story, Feud, and American Crime Story), and his continued success with his collaborator Brad Falchuk, Murphy is putting another drama into the FX universe.

Pose, which is written by Murphy, Falchuk, and Steven Canals, is about the interaction of several different ways of life in 1986 New York City. The series is set to merge the worlds of the downtown literary scene, balls, and the ultra-luxurious.

Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Sherry Marsh are also producing the series, along with Murphy, Falchuk, and Canals. Pose is expected to premiere sometime in 2018.

The imprecise air date is to be expected, considering how much Murphy currently has under his belt. Both the second and third seasons of American Crime Story are in different production stages, and planning for the next series of Feud will also undoubtedly take up a decent portion of his time. As always, Murphy will be directing the first episode of Pose, since it is his pattern for his creations. Deadline notes that production is not expected to start until October of this year.
