The TV journalist will be the first DWTS guest-judge this season, says THR.
The Good Morning America host will be the guest judge on the next episode of Dancing With The Stars, being the first of a series of guest judges, following the steps of last season, in which this change was first introduced.
Roberts confessed to being “nervous,” and added she would “probably add the perspective of someone who usually watches the show at home,” since she’s not an expert on dancing.
This season’s confirmed judges, as of right now at least, are Ricky Martin, LMFAO’s Redfoo and Julianne Hough, who’ll be repeating the role she already played once before, not as a dancer, but as a judge.
Another new feature on the ABC show will be a week in which the usual pairings will be changed: on April 7th’s episode, each contestant still in the game will dance with a pro they were not assigned with in the first place.
