Buckle up and prepare for an action-packed ride. The mobile streaming service Quibi has released a trailer for its upcoming action-thriller series Survive to star Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins. The new streaming platform has been releasing trailers for its future content over the past few weeks. Quibi launches April 6 and offers original programs like #FreeRayshawn and revivals of past hits such as Reno 911!. Quibi series will be composed of daily new episodes clocking in at ten minutes or less.
Survive is based on the 2012 thriller novel of the same name written by Alex Morel. The full-length and intense trailer details the story of Jane and a fight home go awry. After a lengthy stay at a distant medical facility, Jane (Sophie Turner) was released and boarded a plane home where she meets fellow passenger Paul (Corey Hawkins). The plane ultimately crashes in a snowy and mountainous terrain with Jane and Paul as the sole survivors. The Quibi series will follow the pair as they embark on a dangerous mission for survival. Television fans best remember Turner from her Game of Thrones fame while Hawkins for his roles in The Walking Dead and Straight Outta Compton.
Survive‘s release date is timed to coincide with Quibi’s launch on April 6. Like other Quibi programs, the series will be considered a “Movie in Chapters” to meet the daily episode requirement. Currently, the upcoming mobile streaming platform is available for pre-order on the App Store and Google Play Store. Additionally, interested subscribers can sign up to learn more about the service and receive a free 90 days on Quibi’s website.
