Prime Video has confirmed the series House of David has been renewed for a third season. What else will the new king face in this new season?
For those who don’t know, House of David is a series that tells a story about David, the outcast Shepard who would later become king after defeating the formidable warrior, Goliath. In the second season we pick up after the defeat of Goliath, David is taught everything about being a military commander. However, King Saul’s mental and moral state starts to deteriorate, with David’s success over Goliath. Saul’s paranoia gets the better of him and decides to kill David, forcing David to flee into exile to save his life.
According to Deadline, the show’s creators Jon Erwin (Young Washington, The Old Stories: Moses) and Jon Gunn (It’s Not Like That, For King + Country: No Turning Back) issued this statement regarding what to expect in the third season, “‘Season 3 follows David through one of the most defining chapters of his life, and we’re honored to share this next chapter alongside our partners at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios,’ series creators and executive producers Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn said. ‘Whether audiences have known David through Scripture or are encountering him from a fresh perspective, we hope the series continues to reveal why his story has resonated across generations.’”
The cast consists of Michael Iskander (The Lila Rose Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show), Ali Suliman (Coyotes, G20), Indy Lewis (King & Conqueror, The Game), Ethan Kai (The Turkish Detective, Carnival Row), Oded Fehr (Your Friends & Neighbors, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy), Yali Topol Margalith (Alice and Steve, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder), Davood Ghadami (Father Brown, Casualty), Aury Alby (Book of Ruth, Motek Bool BaEmtza), Inbar Saban (Amal, House of David), Naby Dakhil (Viva, Agent Hamilton), Ayelet Zurer (Daredevil: Born Again, The Best Worst Thing), Sam Otto (Odd Socks, Snowpiercer), and Stewart Scudamore (Crimson Desert, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers).
