Prime Video Releases A New Sneak Peek And Poster For ‘Good Omens’ In Anticipation Of Season Two

Created by Neil Gaiman (Coraline, American Gods), Good Omens first debuted on Prime Video in 2019. The series is based on the book Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (Mort, The Colour of Magic). Renewed in 2021, the second season of the Good Omens television series is set to premiere on July 28th.

In anticipation of the second season, new content has been released by Prime Video. Comicbook.com notes that a new poster featuring a large array of characters was posted on Twitter. The poster was created by Rory Kurtz, who created the official artwork for the first season of Good Omens as well.

At the forefront of the poster are the characters Crowley, played by David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch), and Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen (Best Interests, The Queen). The poster also features characters, such as Gabriel, played by Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Tag), Shax, played by Miranda Richardson (Dance with a Stranger, Damage), and more.

The first season of Good Omens revolves around Crowley and Aziraphale, who are a demon and angel respectively, as they try to stop Armageddon from happening.

Other stars of season one include Jack Whitehall (Bad Education, Robots) as Pulsifer, Adria Arjona (Father of the Bride, Morbius) as Anathema, and Sam Taylor Buck (Medici, The Death & Life of John F. Donovan) as Adam.

According to Collider, a new sneak peek of season two has also been released. The sneak peek features Shax speaking about the states of Heaven and Hell ever since Crowley and Aziraphale established themselves on Earth. Additionally, Crowley has a bit of an existential crisis as he questions “What’s the point of it all?”

The sneak peek can be viewed here.

According to Comicbook.com, in relation to season two of the series, Tennant stated, “The return of Good Omens is great news for me, personally, as I get to work with Michael again, and I get to say Neil’s wonderful words once more. It’s probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but, you know – swings and roundabouts.”

The return of Good Omens is also great news to fans who look forward to seeing Crowley and Aziraphale face new challenges together.
