The young actor just got cast in a new CBS series.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Pierce Gagnon just joined the cast of the new CBS drama for 2014, Extant, where he’ll play Halle Berry’s son.
The role is a great achievement for the eight-year old actor, who has already quite a few shows in his resumé, including One Tree Hill, Wish I Was Here, Rio 2, Tomorrowland and Looper, among others.
Extant is described as a “futuristic thriller” that will follow the life of an astronaut (played by Berry) who tries to reconnect with both her husband and her son after spending a whole year in a mission up in outer space.
Steven Spielberg will produce this show, along with Greg Walker, Brooklyn Weaver, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Mickey Fisher.
The show is expected to air next season, and CBS gave it a 13-episode order without even seeing a pilot.
