Peacock: ‘Bupkis’ Official Trailer Released

The official trailer has been released for Peacock original Bupkis, starring Pete Davidson (Guy Code, School Dance), according to Variety. Co-written and executive produced by Davidson, Bupkis is a comedy series inspired by Davidson’s life. According to the show’s logline, the eight-episode series incorporates a mix of grounded storytelling and absurd elements that showcase Davidson’s unique and unfiltered worldview, for which he is well-known.

In the trailer’s opening, according to Variety, there are quick flashes of tabloid headlines about Davidson, followed by a clip of him admitting, “I googled myself yesterday. People think I’m, like, a joke for some reason.” Viewers are also introduced to Davidson’s on-screen grandfather, played by Joe Pesci (Goodfellas, Home Alone), who warns him about his immature behavior. “They think you’re a joke because you are a joke.”

As reported by Deadline, the trailer also has Davidson screaming on a roller coaster and enjoying a wild ride with Bobby Cannavale (The Pacifier, Ant-Man). The trailer includes brief glimpses of guest stars such as Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie), who portrays Davidson’s mother, John Mulaney (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Mulaney An Opening Act), Steve Buscemi (Big Daddy, Pulp Fiction), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond, Ice Age), Jon Stewart (The Daily Show, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Sebastian Stan (Red Doors, Law & Order), Kenan Thompson (All That, Good Burger), Machine Gun Kelly (The Dirt, Downfalls High), and Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies, On the Rocks).

Also serving as writer and executive producer is Dave Sirus (The King of Staten Island, Let’s Be Real). Lorne Michaels (30 Rock, The Kids in the Hall), Erin David (Baby Mama, Masterminds), and Andrew Singer also serve as executive producers on the show.

Bupkis will be premiering on Peacock on May 4, 2023.
