Netflix revealed that its successful original show’s second season will debut on Friday, June 6.
Netflix subscribers will have access to all of the thirteen episodes of the second season of Orange Is The New Black on June 6. Making all of the season’s episodes available on the same day is custom of Netflix; just last week the streaming service released its new season of House of Cards in the same manner.
It is already known that Laura Prepon will not be a regular again this season, while Danielle Brooks (“Taystee”), Taryn Manning (“Pennsatucky”) and Uzo Aduba (“Crazy Eyes”) were all promoted to regular cast members.
Netflix hasn’t released official viewer numbers for Orange Is The New Black, but taking into account all the buzz the show generated over its first season, it was definitely one of the most popular shows in 2013 and one of the most anticipated returns of Summer 2014.
