New Trailer For Season Two of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Hints At Love Triangle and New Music

Get ready to return to Cousins Beach for this summer as Prime Video brings back The Summer I Turned Pretty Season Two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new trailer has just dropped and audiences can expect to see the return of Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. The trailer also nods to the show giving a first listen to Taylor Swift’s re-recorded song “Back To December” that will be on her new album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

This upcoming season will bring viewers back to where we left off, Isabel, also known as “Belly”, Conklin played by newcomer Lola Tung, is admitting her feelings to her best friend Conrad Fisher, played by Christopher Briney (Dalíland), who is also revealing his feelings for her. Despite this touching romantic revelation, Belly is put into a love triangle between Conrad and none other than his brother Jeremiah, played by actor Gavin Casalegno (The Vampire Diaries). Season two continues the story with the Belly’s family going through Susannah’s cancer as she struggles with her feelings for Conrad and Jeremiah. In a description by Prime, “When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together — and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.”

Showrunners Jenny Han (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) and Sarah Kucserka (Ugly Betty) take the lead on the second season, while joining Karen Rosenfelt (MAX) and Gabrielle Stanton (Free Enterprise) as executive producers along with Mads Hansen (Now You See Me), Paul Lee (Mare of Easttown), and Hope Hartman (Book Club) from wiip studios. The series is a co-production between wiip and Amazon Studios. In addition to the stellar cast, Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade) and Kyra Sedgwick (Born on the Fourth of July) will be joining the upcoming season.

The trailer plays Taylor Swift’s upcoming “Back to December (Taylor’s Version)” giving fans a sneak peak to what is to come from the singer in her upcoming re-recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) that will be dropping on July 7th.
