New Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Sense8’ Season 2 Shows Key Characters Preparing For War

Netflix has debuted the new trailer for an original series, per Entertainment Weekly, and it is doozy. The eight sensates of Sense8 are banding together to take on their nemesis while continuing to understand the extent of what they can do. You can watch the trailer for Season 2 below.

The visual style of the series is on full display, with the central theme of forging an identity playing a key role in the trailer’s narration. “Who am I?” the eight key members ask as the man they’ve been fleeing for so long states the danger they pose to society. It would seem that, rather than avoid Whispers (Terrence Mann), the sensates are prepared to take the battle to him.

Starring Mann, Toby Onwumere (Capheus), Tina Desai (Kala), Miguel Angel Silvestre (Lito), Jamie Clayton (Nomi), Tuppence Middleton (Riley), Doona Bae (Sun), Brian J. Smith (Will), and Max Riemelt (Wolfgang), the sci-fi drama focuses on eight people bound by a mental link that transcends space and time. So far, the first season has been joined by a Christmas Special preceding the 10 episode second season.

The product of the Wachowski Siblings and J. Michael Stracsynski, executive producer Grant Hill has moved into a creative role following Lilly Wachowski’s stepping away after her gender transition.

The Christmas special gave fans a lot to think about, with certain characters experiencing positive change in their lives while others fell back into old habits. Though the trailer does give viewers plenty to look forward to, we’ll still have to wait until May 5 to see how the eight characters handle their upcoming war. Until then, fans will have to suffice on rewatching the first season and combing the trailer for hints of what’s to come.

Sense8 Season 2 hits Netflix on May 5. Stay tuned with mxdwn Television for further information regarding the series.
