Nick at Nite’s new comedy series Instant Mom has been given a premiere date of September 29, Deadline has learned.
The family comedy stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict as Stephanie, a young party girl who trades in cosmos for carpools when she marries Charlie (Michael Boatman), an older man and a father of three. Stephanie has to learn to adjust to her new role of a full-time stepmom while trying to maintain some sense of her fun-loving and carefree lifestyle.
Nick at Nite has already placed an order for seven additional episodes prior to the show’s premiere, bringing the first season up to twenty episodes. Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan executive produced the project, which will also air on NickMom after its 8:30 premiere on Nick at Nite.
