New Image of Tom Hiddleston from Disney+’s ‘Loki’ Revealed

Most information was kept exclusive at Disney+’s investor presentation meeting back in April. Disney has now released a few pictures from the event, including ones with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

Feige had taken the stage to announce some very exciting news for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, What If, and Loki are the newest series being produced by Feige and Disney+.

“These will be both new and continuing stories,” said Feige. “These will be major storylines set in the MCU with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney+ series we’ll be producing and the future on the big screen.”

Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in his own series. Loki had supposedly “died” in Avengers: Infinity War, but then made an appearance in Avengers: Endgame. He had escaped with the Tesseract during a time-traveling mission gone wrong. Where Loki had gone was kept a mystery.

The official image from the meeting shows Loki walking on the streets with a backdrop of a movie theatre. What’s interesting about this picture is that theatre has a showing of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 Jaws. This only further confirms rumors that Loki will, indeed, be exploring different timelines.

The streaming service is another way for the MCU to exist with Feige taking full advantage of the opportunity.

“Disney+ is, yes,” said Feige. “Which is another exciting avenue and another exciting thing about being at this place at this time and goes back to the amount of characters we have and the amount of stories we could tell… When we announced ten movies and people asked “Well what about these other things?’ the previous stance would be ‘We only have a certain number of slots to make movies per year.’ That’s still true but we have another outlet that I think will be very unique and very special.”

No dates have been confirmed for the Marvel TV shows.

Disney+ is set to launch on November 12.
