Netflix Releases Trailer for Season 3 of Hit Black Comedy Series ‘Dead to Me’

Fans of the beloved dark comedy series, Dead to Me can now rejoice, as Netflix has just dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming and highly anticipated third season. It’s been over two years since the show’s second season was released on Netflix, but after a brief hiatus, it would seem that the Emmy-nominated series is making a triumphant return in just two more weeks as written by Comicbook.com.

The story of Dead to Me revolves around a blossoming friendship betwixt a grieving widow named Jen, played by Christina Applegate (Married with Children, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), and Judy, played by Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks, Scooby-Doo), the woman who killed Jen’s husband in a hit-and-run driving accident. As the two grow closer, the fragile nature of their friendship becomes threatened when Jen starts to piece together Judy’s intricate web of lies and secrets.

According to Comicbook.com, this third season of Dead to Me will also be the show’s last season, as confirmed by Netflix. Dead to Me comes from the mind of series creator Liz Feldman (One Big Happy, Two Broke Girls) and is executive produced by the widely recognizable Will Ferrell (Elf, Megamind), alongside Applegate and fellow producers Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up, Ant-Man), Jessica Elbaum (Booksmart, Hustlers), and Christie Smith (The Rehearsal, Nick Kroll: Little Big Boy).

The next season of Dead to Me follows Jen and Judy shortly after their climactic car crash in the season two finale as mounting pressures from both Detective Perez, played by Diana-Maria Riva (Kajillionaire, What Women Want), and encroaching FBI agents force the duplicitous duo into taking drastic measures to keep their dark secrets buried in the past where they belong. The third and final season of the critically acclaimed series will be released on November 17, exclusively on Netflix.
