Netflix Announces Comedy Special Featuring Ken Jeong

Today the streaming giant and dedicated laugh factory, Netflix, has announced that 49 year-old comedian Ken Jeong will be joining their ever expanding comedy special roster. The show will be apart of a long string of similar specials featuring the likes of Dave Chapelle, Ellen DeGeneres, and Trevor Noah.

The new stand-up comedy special will be interestingly released on Thursday, Feb. 14th and has humorously been titled Ken Jeong: You Complete Me, Ho. Jeong’s Crazy Rich Asians director, Jon M. Chu, helped  direct the special.

The set was filmed back in September at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, Calif., where Jeong first got his start in comedy. Netflix’s official synopsis of the show will follow Jeong as he “went from being a doctor to a comedy superstar and opens up about how his wife’s courageous battle with breast cancer led to him starring in one of the biggest comedy franchises of all time, The Hangover.”

Jeong has also starred in the NBC sitcom Community as Greendale’s resident Spanish profesor Ben Chang. He also currently serves as panelist on the popular reality competition series The Masked Singer which airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on the FOX network.

The comedian also starred in ABC’s semi-autobiographical comedy Dr. Kenwhich aired for two seasons and made a guest starring appearance in the smash American rom-com film and hit, Crazy Rich Asians.
