Timeless fans came at NBC with digital torches and pitchforks, and the network has come around.
Deadline reports that Erik Kripke and Shawn Ryan’s Timeless will be going forward with a 10-episode second season, following initial reports that the series had been canceled. The highly unusual move to reverse the cancellation decision on Timeless comes after three days of ferociously negative fan reaction to the news.
Fans were understandably frustrated with the initial cancellation of Timeless, a series with quite a loyal following after just one season. Season 1’s finale ended in a cliffhanger, but now fans can breathe a sigh of relief that they will see things play out in season 2.

The series stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, Claudia Doumit, and Goran Visnjic.
Kripke and Ryan executive produce Timeless along with John Davis, John Fox, and Marney Hochman. Season 2 of Timeless is aiming for a 2018 premiere.
