According to Deadline, the premiere date for season two of the NBC sitcom Lopez Vs. Lopez has recently been announced. The new season is scheduled to air on April second with two back-to-back episodes with one at eight eastern time and the second half an hour right after. The series will also be continuing at that timeslot moving forward. Season two of the series will also include new guest stars, such as Diana Maria Riva (Tip the Girls), Marshawn Lynch (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias (The Book of Life).
Lopez Vs. Lopez aired its first season on NBC in November of 2022 and had 22 episodes. The family sitcom follows George Lopez who is a a working-class old-school Latino and an owner of a moving company that unfortunately goes bankrupt, which forces him to move in with his daughter Mayan. This causes many issues as father and daughter have recently become more involved in each other’s lives after being estranged for most of Mayan’s teenage life. Now living together, they hope to heal their relationship as well as learn much from one another.
The series is created by Debby Wolfe (Love, Victor), also known for their work on The Conners and One Day at a Time. The cast for the series includes George Lopez (George Lopez: It’s Not Me, It’s You) and his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez (Mr. Troop Mom), Matt Shively (Total Badass Wrestling), Brice Gonzalez (PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie), Selenis Leyva (Orange Is the New Black), Al Madrigal (Clone High), Laci Mosley (I Want My Phone Back) and many others.
According to Deadline, series executive producers include Wolfe, Lopez, Bruce Helford (Wanda at Large), Michael Rotenberg (Office Space), and Katie Newman (The Last Man on Earth). The series is also produced by Universal Television.
