Deadline learns of the collaborative effort of NBC, Dick Clark Productions and People Magazine to create The People Magazine Awards.
Dick Clark Productions has been expanding its award show programming since earlier this year, buying into The Hollywood Film Awards with plans to air early next year. The news around The People Magazine Awards is that the show will premiere late in 2014 and will honor the best in all pop culture categories including the Biggest Phenomenon of 2014, Most Stylish Person, Funniest Person, Sexiest Woman and the show’s top honor — the year’s Most Popular Person.
