

According to Deadline, Nicolas Cage (Sympathy for the Devil, Renfield) makes his first photo debut for MGM+ and Prime Video’s Spider-Noir at Amazon’s annual upfronts presentation. The debut image above showcases Cage as the web-swinging detective in black and white. The series will be available in both black and white, and color when it airs in 2026.
Spider-Noir is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic with the same name and follows a version of Spider-Man who is a down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York. Noir is forced to take on the city as its only superhero while also dealing with issues of his past life..
Joining Cage, the cast of the series includes Lamorne Morris (New Girl, Fargo), Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, A Greyhound of a Girl), Abraham Popoola (The Great, The Curse), Li Jun Li (Sinners, Wu Assassins), Karen Rodriguez (The Big Leap, The Hunting Wives), and Jack Huston (Mayfair Witches, American Hustle). Guest star cast includes Lukas Haas (Lady in White, High Rollers), Cameron Britton (A Man Called Otto, Emmageddon), Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives, High Potential), Michael Kostroff (The Plot Against America, The Rookie), Scott MacArthur (The Righteous Gemstones, The Mick), Joe Massingill (Killing It, Fear the Walking Dead), Whitney Rice (Jury Duty, The Last Tycoon), Amanda Schull (12 Monkeys, Suits), Andrew Lewis Caldwell (Danger Force, Henry Danger), Amy Aquino (Picket Fences, Bosch), Andrew Robinson (JAG, 12 Sided Die), and Kai Caster (The Baxters,Yellowstone).
As per Deadline, the series is being produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video. The series will also be directed by Harry Bradbeer (Enola Holmes, Fleabag), who will produce the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (Mortal Kombat, The Lost City) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher, Narcos) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. The series is being developed by Uziel and Lightfoot with the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord (The Afterparty, The Lego Movie), Christopher Miller (Clone High, Hoops) and Amy Pascal (Little Women, Long Bright River).
