Smash star Megan Hilty has landed a new role. She has earned a regular role on NBC’s new show Sean Saves the World.
Sean Saves the World stars Will & Grace‘s Sean Hayes as single dad trying to do it all. This half-hour comedy was written and produced by Victor Fresco. Hayes’ character is a man with an unbearable boss and a pushy mother. When he gets full custody of his 14-year-old daughter, Sean tries to be the perfect dad as well as the perfect employee to a company that asks a lot of him.
Hilty played Broadway star Ivy Lynn on the NBC drama Smash. Entertainment Weekly confirms she will be a series regular on Sean Saves the World. Hilty will be playing Sean’s best friend and coworker. She will replace Lindsay Sloane, who played the part in the pilot and left the show in May.
Sean Saves the World comes to NBC Thursdays this fall.
