Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ Renewed for Season 2

Marvel’s Runaways has been renewed for a second season at Hulu. The season will consist of 13 more episodes of the series.

Executive producer and Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb said, “We’re thrilled about Runaways Season 2. Our partnership with Josh [Schwartz] and Stephanie [Savage] and Hulu has been as exciting as the reaction to the show from our fans – both new and old!”

Schwartz and Savage, who serve as executive producer and showrunners added, “We’re so privileged that Marvel and Brian K. Vaughan trusted us with Runaways. We couldn’t be more excited to continue telling this story. It’s been a blast making the show with the cast and crew. We can’t wait to see where we can take the story in Season 2 and to stay on the run.”

Schwartz and Savage also stated, “The conversations with the fans have been gratifying. We hear and see you. We appreciate your passion and hearing how much the show means to you. Beware the possibility of a dinosaur on the streets of Los Angeles…and earthquakes!”

Runaways follows the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against their parents when they discovered that their parents are a part of an evil underground organization. The Marvel series stars Gregg Sulkin, Rhenzy Feliz, Virginia Gardner, Lyrica Okano, Ariela Barer, and Allegra Acosta.

Jim Chory serves as executive producer alongside Loeb, Schwartz, and Savage. Fake Empire’s Lis Rowinski produces the series. The series is a co-production with Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.
