Watch the First Trailer for FX’s New Series ‘Trust’

With the Television Critics Association press tour in full swing, many networks are taking the chance to release brand new trailers for their up and coming television series. Deadline reported this Tuesday that FX has joined the trend and dropped its first trailer for their upcoming drama Trust.

Trust will be a multi-season series focusing on the story of one of America’s most affluent families, the Gettys. The first season will depict the complex kidnapping case of John Paul Getty III in the 1970s.

The series has a solid production team, with the team behind Slumdog Millionaire (acclaimed director Danny Boyle, Simon Beaufoy, and Christian Colson) working as executive producers on the series. Boyle will also take on directing duties for the series’ first three episodes.

The series also has a high-profile cast: Donald Sutherland takes on the role of John Paul Getty while Harris Dickinson plays Getty III. Hilary Swank, Charlotte Riley, and Brendan Fraser also star in Trust.

The new FX drama comes at an interesting time: film director Ridley Scott has just released his film All the Money in the World on the very same subject of Getty III’s kidnapping. It should be interesting to see how the film and television series compare in telling the story of one of America’s most iconic family dynasties.

Trust premieres March 25th on FX.
