Mare Winningham Checks Into ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’

The cast of American Horror Story: Hotel continues to grow. This time it’s with AHS alum Mare Winningham.

Entertainment Weekly broke the exclusive story that Winningham, who was in AHS: Coven and AHS: Freak Show, will be coming back for AHS:Hotel. Winningham will play the hotel’s laundress who will work closely with Evan Peters’ character. Peters will play Mr. March in the newest installment of the anthology series.

Winningham and Peters have worked closely together while on AHS before. Winningham played Peters’ abusive mother on AHS: Coven. As we reported on here, many of the characters have a character description for the upcoming season. Peters’ Mr. March doesn’t have a lot of details announced yet but it is known that his character will be evil, as many of the characters this season will be.

Also expect to see familiar faces from previous seasons. “Characters from previous seasons will come back and check into the hotel,” said co-creator Ryan Murphy at Comic-Con according to E!It is suspected that all of the seasons are interconnected in some way despite multiple actors and actresses playing a different character every season.

This season of AHS will be set in Los Angeles and is inspired by a real life incident. The story from several years ago was about mysterious elevator footage of Elise Lam, who later turned up dead.

Perhaps the biggest buzz for the upcoming season came from the casting of Lady Gaga. Thanks to Coming Soon a teaser set picture of Lady Gaga in character can be seen below.

We already know her character will be wealthy and consumed by fashion which can be seen by her characters outfit. The first teaser for the season, that we reported on here, features her silver glove that can be seen in the photo above as well.

AHS: Hotel will premiere on FX on October 7.
