As reported by TVLine, the Syfy drama has just added a new actress to its list of actors: Linda Hamilton.
The actress will only guest-star on the show and she will be playing Pilar, the “estranged wife” of Rafe McCawley (Graham Greene).
Her character is expected to provoke strong emotions on the viewers; at least according to what was promised by Defiance‘s EP Kevin Murphy, who affirmed Pilar will both make the audience “cry” and “scare the crap out of [them].”
Other guest-stars already booked for the second season of this Syfy show are William Atherton, who will play Viceroy Mercado, and also Anna Hopkins, whose character will be Jessica “Berlin” Rai.
The show’s premiere is set for June 19th at 8/7c.
Linda Hamilton is best known for her roles as Carol in The Line, Catherine Chandler in the original Beauty & The Beast (who’s now played by Kristin Kreuk in The CW’s remake) and, more recently, Mary Bartowski in Chuck.
