The thriller crime series, focuses on the perspective of defense attorney, Micky Haller, portrayed by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo(The Magnificent Seven), as he defends petty crooks. According to a previous mxdwn post, the series first made its televised debut on May 13, 2022. According to Deadline, the third season will be based on the fifth installment of the series, The Gods of Guilt, and will consist of 10 episodes. Along with Manuel Ruflo, returning actors/actresses from the previous seasons, such as Becki Newton(August Rush), Angus Sampson(Insidious: The Last Key), Krista Warner(Suburban Supernova), and other are confirmed to reprising their roles in the upcoming season.
According to a previous mxdwn post, the second season quickly climbed on Netflix’s Top 10, and has an impressive rating of 85%. On August 23 of last year, the shows has aggregated over 40 million veiws. Season three is sure to pick from the events of the previous season, in which Micky was finding a contract, but then gets beat up by two mysterious men.
According to Deadline, exclusive first-look photos displays a younger Micky standing behind a car by the beach, who finish surfing before the life changing event, and the next one depicts him cuddling with his wife, Maggie.
According to a statement via Deadline, showrunners Ted Humphrey(The God Wife) and Dailyn Rodriguez(The Blades) stated, “While Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer is based on Michael Connelly’s novel The Gods of Guilt, we decided that a fun (and poignant) way to come into the season would be via a flashback sequence that gave us some insight into how Mickey Haller became Mickey Haller.”
