Kate Walsh Rejoins ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ As Dr. Montgomery

Kate Walsh, who portrayed the fan-favorite doctor Addison Forbes Montgomery in Grey’s Anatomy, is set to return to the show for season 18, via Tvline. Walsh made her surprising debut on the series at the end of season one and continued to be a major character for two more seasons. In 2007, Walsh brought the character to the spinoff of the series, Private Practice, and continued until the spinoff ended in 2013.

Walsh has confirmed the news on her social media accounts. In her Instagram post, she expressed her excitement with a short dancing video. She even put on her doctor’s outfit and quoted Madison Montgomery (portrayed by Emma Roberts) from American Horror Story: “I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”

Walsh is no stranger to television audiences. In recent years, she made appearances in many popular television shows. She played The Handler in The Umbrella Academy, Madeline in Emily In Paris, Olivia Baker in 13 Reasons Why, and more. Fans of Grey’s Anatomy are thrilled to see her return after many years of demanding.

The newest season is set to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c.
