Deadline has reported that Kate Mansi (Muse, Nightclub Secrets) will exit General Hospital after a three-year tenure on the show. Stephanie Sloan was the first to report sharing the scoop on Instagram.
“I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave General Hospital. I have a few new projects that require my full attention and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles,” Mansi said via Deadline. The quote was originally reported by Sloan.
Mansi took over for Lexi Ainsworth (Wild Child, Chosen) on General Hospital in 2023. Ainsworth played the role of Kristiana Corinthos-Davis on and off from 2009. She took the role of Abigail Deveraux on Days Of Our Lives from 2011 to 2016, winning Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2011. Ainsworth returned to General Hospital in 2018 and 2020.
Mansi has also garnered praise in the soap opera world, winning a Daytime Emmy in 2019 and 2025. The 2025 award was for her work on General Hospital.
General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini (One Life To Live, General Hospital) shared some kind words about Mansi. We love Kate and support her decision to leave. The door is always open, and we appreciate all she has added to the show over the past three years.
Mansi spoke about her time on the series in her statement to Sloan, I’m incredibly grateful to Frank, ABC, and our writers for the care they gave Kristina. It’s been such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family. When Frank first approached me about the role, two things deeply resonated with me: the opportunity to show my support for the queer community by playing an LGBTQ+ character, and to help tell an endometriosis storyline. Together, I truly feel we honored both of those stories in a way that mattered. And the fact that I got to direct was simply the icing on the cake! Now, it feels like the right time for both Kristina and me to step into new adventures,” via Deadline.
Mansi’s last appearance on the series will likely air in June. Her other credits include How I Met Your Mother and the limited series Casa Grande.
