Kat Dennings Will Star in ABC’s Show Based on ‘How May We Hate You’

2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings has decided to star in the ABC comedy show written by Justin Noble. The book and blog titled How May We Hate You, which the show is based on, was created by Anna Drezen and Todd Dakotah Briscoe. As of now, the series does not have an official title. Dennings had been one of the most sought after actresses this pilot season. She fielded multiple offers before deciding on this ABC single-camera comedy.

The untitled series is a workplace comedy which centers around two guest service associates. They work at a high-end resort. Both are stuck with their co-workers and guests eight to sixteen hours a day.

Dennings is set to play as Ellie. She is one of the guest services specialists forced to wear a plastic smile as she deals with hotel clientele who pay more per night than she pays in rent each month. In debt from three botched attempts at different graduate schools, Ellie is now making ends meet by working beside her best friend Gabe at a high-end hotel. Dennings will also be a producer on the show.

Also, Will Gluck is set to direct and executive produce the television series. Noble will write and executive produce the series. Noble was also writer and producer on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Both of them will be joined by Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor as executive producers.

Besides 2 Broke Girls, Dennings has also played a part in Marvel film series Thor, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and 40 Year Old Virgin.
