Joe Hill Thriller ‘NOS4A2’ Picked for AMC Series

AMC has picked up what is hopefully their next huge hit. Joe Hill’s acclaimed novel NOS4A2 will be adapted into a 10 episode series.

Hill will serve as executive producer and expressed his enthusiasm, “I know it’s in good hands with showrunner Jami O’Brien (Fear the Walking Dead): Her beautifully composed scripts show a writer at the height of her powers, one who has an exquisite touch with character and a relentless instinct for suspense.

This selection is part of the script-to-series model AMC adapted over a year ago. Dietland, a novel from Sarai Walker, has also been picked up as a series in this same manner.

NOS4A2 follows Vic McQueen, a young artist with the supernatural sense of tracking the elusive villain Charlie Manx. His notoriety stems from luring children to Christmasland where he steals their souls and lives. Vic works to save the children and herself before its too late.

Another of Hill’s novels, Horns, was adapted into a movie starring Daniel Radcliffe back in 2013. Hill’s additional claim to fame is his kinda famous author-father, Stephen King. The warped apple didn’t fall far from that tree.

NOS4A2 is set to premiere on AMC in 2019.
