An US Weekly report claims that Jenny McCarthy may be replacing Joy Behar on the View. McCarthy has been a regular on the show, and a move to the highly rated ABC talk show may serve her better than her VH1 show.
McCarthy is still under contract with VH1 which may impede her alleged progress towards being a host for the View. The status quo is that although McCarthy is unable to do a show by her lonesome, she works well with the other View host that get a kick out of her every time they ask her to be on the show.
When confronted with rumors of replacing Behar in March, McCarthy denied them. McCarthy as well as Brooke Shields are supposed to be the top candidates for hosting the show.
The View is entering its seventeenth season this fall. The only original host at that time will be Barbra Walters.
