Jennifer Lopez Producing New Legal Drama for CBS

The actress, singer, and dancer, Jennifer Lopez, and Michael Rauch of Royal Pains are teaming up for a legal drama at CBS, the Hollywood Reporter revealed.

This will be one of CBS’s first shows going into development this season, with the script penned by Rauch.

As of now, the project is untitled and centers around identical twin brothers who are polar opposites; while they may argue, they are an amazing team in the courtroom.

Rauch (Life Is Wild, Love Monkey, Beautiful People) will both pen the script and executive produce the series, which will be co-produced by CBS Television Studios and Universal Television. Lopez will also serve as executive producer via Nuyorican Productions, founded by her and Benny Medina, along with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas will also exec produce and Daniel A. Thomas.

Lopez is becoming more and more involved in television. She stars in and exec produces the NBC drama Shades of Blue, executive produces Freeform’s The Fosters, and will soon be joining forces with NBC again for dance competition series World of Dance. To top it all off, she will star as late drug lord Griselda Blanco in an HBO TV movie that she will exec produce.

This upcoming series from CBS comes at a time when legal dramas are as popular as ever as procedurals remain at the forefront of broadcast network programs.
