Jane Seymour Will Lead Acorn TV Mystery Series ‘Harry Wild’

Jane Seymour (The Kominsky Method) has been tapped for the titular role of the series Harry Wild, an Irish mystery thriller that will premiere on AMC Networks streaming platform, Acorn TV, according to Deadline. The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress will also executive produce the show.

Seymour will play Harriet Wild, a retired English professor, who finds a new lust for life after involving herself in her son Charlie’s police work and criminal cases. According to Deadline, the eight-part series is set in Dublin and produced by Dynamic Television.

Deadline reports that David Logan (Lost Christmas) wrote and created the series with Jo Spain (Taken Down). Ronan Burke (Jelly Baby) and Robert Burke (Max Rules) are set as the directors. Daniel March (Van Helsing), Klaus Zimmermann (Trapped), James Gibb (The Outpost), Morgan O’Sullivan (Vikings) and James Flynn (Vikings) join Seymour as executive producers.

“From the first moment I read the script, I fell in love with Harry Wild and am beyond excited to head to Ireland and step into the role of this very curious and passionate retired professor,” Seymour said via Deadline.

Harry Wild will be available on Acorn TV in 2022 to viewers in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, according to Deadline. The show was jointly commissioned by Acorn TV and the streamer’s UK-based Acorn Media Enterprises.
